The house is located in the small town of Hissarya. The town has a rich history with a number of greatly preserved Roman buildings. These include; a 4th century tomb, baths and the city wall with the impressive southern gate (which is also the towns symbol). The town’s museum has many artefacts revealing the history of the area.

The town is also known for its peaceful atmosphere and lovely parks, some of which include rare protected trees. For those looking for a good walk – there are some wonderful hiking routs within the outskirts of the town and the greater area.

The greatest treasure the town has to offer is its mineral springs and their healing waters. There are numerous spa treatments available catering to all needs and wants.
